Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Intern Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with various tasks, gaining valuable hands-on experience in accounting and financial management within the agricultural sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping:
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Enter financial transactions into the accounting software.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Support the processing of invoices and payments.
- Assist in managing accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Bank Reconciliation:
- Help in reconciling bank statements with company records.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Provide support during audits and financial reviews.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets.
- Support financial forecasting activities.
- Expense Management:
- Help track and report on company expenses.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with company expense policies.
- General Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to the team as needed.
- Assist in other tasks and projects assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Recently graduated or currently finished their final year exams a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
